Hoops Tutoring

I feel very fortunate to have had Shahab as my tutor for my return to a graduate-level study. Having been away from quantitative research for many years, I was faced with having to both re-learn and learn anew a set of statistical methods appropriate to my research design. Shahab immensely cut down the amount of time it would have taken for me to do this on my own. Instead of wading through resource after resource, Shahab guided my vision and helped me to thoroughly understand the relevant statistics needed. He also was able to effectively introduce me to the R software environment and help me through sticking points in the learning process. Thanks to Shahab's ability to explain core ideas and underlying logics of both stats and R, I now have the statistical know-how and software abilities to do much on my own. He was agile in his answering of my diverse questions (using concrete examples when needed), was able to identify what I needed from the outset and always ensured to be as prepared as possible.

Shahab is a good tutor. He helped me with Statistics this term. He was good at explaining any concepts I didn't understand.

Ok so let me tell you, don't waste your time any further trying to look for another tutor cause Shahab is the real. deal. I received his help with one of my UBC courses, Stats in Geography (GEOG 374 for fellow UBCs out there) and through his excellent teaching skills, composure, self-made exercises, he managed to turn what sounded like very stressful gibberish to me into a very intelligible subject matter. I managed to do soo much better than I would've had I not received his tutoring. I even used the study notes he made me to study for my exams, just because of how concise and helpful they were. But most importantly, Shahab is a tutor who really cares about you _understanding_ the logic of what he's teaching so you can truly appropriate it and use it on your own after the classes, be it through exercises or super clear, straightforward, simple explanations he gives. I honestly have not ever met a tutor who spends that much time and puts so much preparation into his students' learning--especially for that ridiculous price--and I've had my fair share of tutors in the past. Thank you again, Shahab!!

Shahab is the best private tutor/teacher for stats I have ever imagined to have! He is a life-saver. He taught me the same material I was having issues to understand at college, and magically it all made sense overnight. He explains in a easy way that the whole comes together and I nailed my midterm and final exam. Thanks Shahab for all the effort you put in our classes to teach me, and make me have a great final grade!...By the way, I was almost failing the course, and he saved me. Next course is ahead, and I am already looking forward to having our zoom classes. Thank-YOU
