Verdell catalyzes immense energetic shifts and empowers the nervous system to regain autonomous agency. She has moved me from acute trauma states to renewed states several times.

Verdell is unique healer, she is a nurturing presence that allows one the space, time and love that is required during the sacred process of healing. For those on soul journey wishing to heal their deep wounds, she has the striking ability to by-bass the logical mind and touch the soul through gently guiding one to both experience and understand feelings of the soul and release those stuck in the body. Through her work I became ready for my awakening and continue to be guided through it as plummeted into my life. I have had the pleasure of being able to experience Verdell's work both in person, online and via phone. Each avenue providing a very similar level of healing and experience.

I've been working with Verdell for about 5 months so far and have improved significantly. I had been seeing various therapists and health practitioners for 10 years. I had a pattern going from one health issue to another over the years such as IBS, chronic fatigue, and chronic pain, then I developed a skin condition called rosacea. I had a very traumatic experience working with a conventional dermatologist. I was told I would have this devastating chronic skin condition forever and that it would keep getting worse. I questioned whether life was even worth living as this was such a crushing condition to live with. I was able to find a great herbalist and the herbal treatment was helpful, however the flare ups were coming from my dysregulated nervous system.

I knew that in order to heal I needed to find a type of therapy that would stop these reactions from flaring up in my body. I knew of Somatic Experiencing and had listened to an audiobook by Dr. Peter A Levine who is the developer of this wonderful therapy. I searched 'somatic experiencing and skin conditions' on the web and came across a blog Verdell wrote. I was so excited then saw she practices in Vancouver where I live and reached out! When we began working together I felt so afraid to leave my home, my face was bright red and covered in acne, and it was always burning. I felt triggered emotionally by other people's projections and would have painful flares that lasted for hours sometimes. I only ate cold food and was obsessed with fans and air conditioning. Now I have no more acne, the heat has gone down and barely arises. If it does, it is very brief. I know as we continue to work together and I continue taking my herbal medicine it will go away completely. I feel like a new person in that I can speak my mind and set clear boundaries without having a flare. The other day I even ate hot soup without flushing at all!

Verdell is very patient and compassionate. She is highly knowledgeable about the nervous system, intuitive and very interesting to talk to. Aside from the nervous system regulation she provides great advice without being overbearing. We don't over discuss things as that just creates more trauma and attachment to stories so the balance of body work and conversation is ideal. The personal development world has a lot of great aspects, however there is also a lot of fluff. No amount of journaling, meditating, podcasts, and so forth will regulate a person's nervous system. I'm very thankful to have met Verdell and to have her guidance on my healing journey!
