2022-10-19 Update: I renewed my car insurance with the gracious help of Katie Hackel. Katie was as friendly as she was knowledgeable and helpful and I feel completely satisfied with the process.

2020-10-19 Update: I renewed my insurance over the phone with Tracey Lassam. It was an utter pleasure: Tracey answered all my questions, assuaged all my concerns, and made the process feel simple, easy, and fast. Thank you for your help with this today! :)

Update #1: Tanacia Campbell, the branch manager, reached out to me today, apologized for the situation, and told me that she will be sending me a cheque for $63 to make up for the unpleasant situation. This has greatly changed my opinion about Hub International and has restored some of my confidence in dealing with this company in the future.

I have had a negative experience with Hub International. I have recently bought a new car from Audi Nanaimo and a Hub International advisor named Racheal Russell helped me with my ICBC insurance and the add-on replacement cost insurance.

I was convinced that Racheal and I had agreed that the replacement cost had to be taken out of my new bank account and that my ICBC insurance can stay on my old bank account until I change it over prior to November. Instead, Racheal put both direct withdrawals on the new account, resulting in an $18 NSF from ICBC and another $45 NSF from my bank.

A very good place for all your insurance needs. They got me new plates and insurance quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend.

Very pleasurable! It's a nice environment, and the professionals working there certainly know their stuff. I met with Candice at the front and it was Katie Who provided me the paperwork for my new policy. I walked out feeling pretty good having spent $1,600, hahaha I moved here from the states and I've been dealing with insurance for years. I will say this though Canada does have it down, and a really really good program. It's fair and I appreciate the efficiency of how they do what they do. My hat is off to everybody in the office at the terminal location today! Keep up the great work, and keep smiling, it made my day.

Aimee at hub is a wealth of knowledge. After a lot of work, Aimee managed to get me better coverage than my previous insurance company. Highly recommend Aimee.

Rachel Russel Clark at HUB is by far the best insurance agent in Nanaimo. She has gone out of her way to help me personally and my place of work on countless occasions. She is fun, bubbly, and genuinely cares about her clients.
