Lighthouse Bistro

I ordered 1x piece fish and chips, sub fries for salad. The fish was delicious so I asked for another piece. I expected the price to be reflected as 2x piece fish and chips meal vs 1x piece fish and chips meal. However the waitress charged me for an extra piece of fish making it $8.00 vs $5.00. That is pretty unreal, and makes me think that the waitress pocketed the extra $3.00.
The sub salad I had ordered came out, and more than half of the lettuce was rotten. I put the rotten lettuce all around the plate to show the waitress. Her resolution was to take 10% off of the salad price ($2.50 so I received $0.25 off)??
That blew my mind.
I paid for a salad that I didn't even eat, even showed her the evidence, and she comes back with a 10% off offer which only saved me $0.25.
I find that just so disrespectful.
So in conclusion, although the bistro has a beautiful view, it is most certainly NOT worth going there.

We had the special which was a cod burger served with soup. The burger was good with Lightly battered cod and the soup was tasty but the serving was very small. We were disappointed that the sushi was missing from the limited menu as we had out of town guests and the sushi was a factor in the restaurant choice. All in all an ok visit with the service decent and the view lovely as always.

Great food, great service and nice establishment...the best clam chowder i ever had.

Nothing special. Tourist trap

Not very impressed with our experience here. We ordered pickup through their website with the plan of grabbing some food on our way to the beach. When I showed up to pick it up, they seemed confused as they didn't have any pickup orders pending. I told them I ordered it through their website and they all kind of looked at each other and told me "oh, I didn't think our online ordering was working?" Really glad I didn't pay in advance...

Anyway, these things happen. I asked if there were tables available outside, because if so I would just go let my husband know to pay for parking and we could just dine-in. They assured me that would be fine. Within the two minutes it took us to park and come back in, we were told there were no tables anywhere except the upstairs pub. We reluctantly agreed but were disappointed to see we wouldn't have access to the regular menu.

Giving three stars only because the salmon sandwiches we ordered were delicious and we got good service from the bartender despite him having well over ten tables to look after and being visibly stressed. As a restaurant manager I would encourage their management to either figure out their online pickup program or take it off the website, and to speak with the hosts about communicating better with guests. If we'd known before sitting down that we'd be sitting indoors with a bar menu we would have gone elsewhere.
