Love the Nanaimo ice center. My grandson and I had a blast just fooling around playing hockey in one end and skating around sometimes.

Came here for an out of town tournament. Awesome facility for hockey both for the players and spectators. Why not a 5? Having to pay for heat is silly. Only seen that twice in my sons long hockey career and both times on the island. Also the concession is well stocked but overpriced in my opinion.

Like to see a more serviceable upstairs......resto-pub. Solve the dilemma of beer after the game for players in a currently unlicensed space. UBC's example comes to mind

Good ice rink. They did go a long time today without a flood, over 3 hours. Concession is good. Need more infant changing tables in bathrooms. Overall excellent facility though.
