Takala Trails Ranch

Had a great 4 night stay in the cabin out in the back of the horse ranch. Very private. There is 2 queen beds up on the loft which is accessed by a ladder that is quite solid. A couch is on the end opposite of the front door. A kitchenette is on one wall and the wood stove on the other. A propane grill was provided under an awning and a fire pit out front. There is no water service, but the hosts provide water for wash up, shower and flushing the manual toilet. The bathhouse is about 30 steps from the cabin. One side is the toilet and sink, and the other side is the shower section. The hosts went out of their way to make sure that there would be an operational hot shower for us since theirs was not working when we got there. They provided a propane heated portable shower which ran on the small generator. This generator can also be used to provide electricity to the cabin, but we did not deem it necessary since there were also led lanterns provided. Doug and Mary made sure to give ideas for seeing things around on the mountain or in town. A very pleasant couple and good hosts. We will most likely come back another time.

Great place. Amazing caring owners. Not like extreme horses with sherri pridge. Takala is the best place to board a horse
