I am extremely pleased with the work done by Boulder Excavating (rock retaining wall, rock chip driveway, vegetation removal and grading prep for a lawn). Larry was quick to drop by and give a quote for my project, a quote that was far more reasonable than others I had obtained. The work was done quickly and efficiently by his friendly crew and I especially appreciated their suggestions to achieve a better result. Once the work was done the site was tidied up and all that remained was a much better looking property!

I can't say enough good things about Larry and the team at Boulder. He was recommended by another excavating company who couldn't do the job with the equipment they had. We needed a big excavating machine, a bobcat, dump trucks for bringing in rock, bin trucks for taking out the rubble, and the trucks to move the equipment around. It was less than a week since first speaking with Larry and the job being completed. The team was super efficient and had some good suggestions. They were on time and worked hard. I was expecting to have to pay a premium for service like this but the bill was very reasonable and detailed. I won't hesitate to use them in the future or to recommend them.

We moved to the Island from the mainland after having a house built in Nanoose Bay. Not knowing any of the local companies we asked our contractor to suggest someone who could build a rock wall for us. He recommended Boulder Excavation and we're glad he did. Phase one consisted of 300 feet of rock wall and a large water feature. Phase 2, year later, they did a large rock garden at the front of our property. At all times the crew were friendly, professional, and took great pride in their work. Every rock was placed with precision and all jobs came in on budget. In November 2019, Larry and his team from Boulder Excavating was hired to redo our driveway ( drainage problems ) as well as some hardscape landscaping. The end result was a driveway skillfully tilted away from the house, a new drainage system, and two fabulously designed rock walls/gardens ready for planting. Throughout the whole process we found everyone very efficient, approachable, courteous, and professional. The outcome EXCEEDED our expectations !! We would have no hesitation in hiring Boulder Excavating again and recommending them as a company that can be relied on for excellent work at the quoted price.
