The Black Bear is okay. It's kind of a generic neighbourhood pub. Nothing particularly outstanding or particularly poor. The food is fine, the drinks are fine, the prices are fine, the service is fine.

Not great, not bad. 2 stars seems too low a rating, 4 stars seems too high. So 3 stars it is.

The food was great, the view wonderful, the staff were friendly, service was awesome especially the gentleman who safely rescued the dragonfly

Wow!!! Such an amazing atmosphere. Young and old alike enjoy the food and excellent specials that change daily. Love the vibe as I walked through and shared pleasantries with the locals who feel just as comfortable as I did. The owners....well let's just say their pride shines bright at The Black Bear Pub!!!
