We had such a wonderful family retreat at Lavender cottage! What a fabulous place to hunker down for a few days, play games, eat great food together, and to hike around on the beautiful snow-covered trails. We loved the ambience of the cottage with its spaciousness, great views, and wood-warmth comfort. There are too many cool features to list but one of my favourites was the warming oven on the back side of the fireplace. The only down side of our getaway was that it was too short! We were there for two nights which meant only one full day to enjoy this enchanting woodland retreat. We will just have to return sometime and spend more days there. And we will bring our cross-country skis next time!! The trail system on the property is splendid. Thank you Maggie and family for your hospitable services. (And thanks to Carbon for guiding us out--we hope he wasn't too tuckered out!)
Searched for dog friendly cabin, and Tin Poppy showed up with high rating! It was a very nice getaway, very relaxing, had a great time with our dogs and Tin Poppy's host dog!! We got stuck in the snow on the way up to Lavender, and the host dog showed up from no where and guided us up to the cabin! It was an amazing experience spending time in the property and the nature. Also learned a lot about fire wood, even though we were inexperienced and couldn't get the room heat up evenly without having smoke inside. The whole experience with Tin Poppy was pretty nice and peaceful, and the host dog made our trip even more interesting! He showed us around on the trail and in the woods! Hope to visit again and have more fun experiences! Thank you!
Our stay was way too short. Found this place by accident and I am in awe. A beautiful cabin (we stayed in the wild rose with our two cats) - we arrived at night and the road to get there was winding and a bit scary since it was dark but what a reward we got once we entered the cabin. The propane lights added such a magical atmosphere. We cooked up some Mac and cheese on the stove and went to bed. Super comfy. Took an amazing walk the next morning on the beautiful trails.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a rustic but beautiful stay. Top class!
I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am to get back to Tinpoopy. This place completely exceeded anything I could have imagined!! Wild Rose Cabin has become a favorite place for me. Rustic, Cozy & surrounded by the great outdoors & incredible views.
We LOVED meeting Carbon too. He & my 20 month old Doberman had the best time playing.
I look very forward to getting back there soon.
Thank you so much for a wonderful experience ?
This place is simply magic ... WOW! A place to reconnect and enjoy a peaceful moment into the woods. It's also an amazing location for a wedding. Loved the vintage decor and the originality of the design. I will go back anytime!
