Best Of India Restaurant

We got takeout from Best of India yesterday and it was such a delight. The man on the other line was friendly, the food was ready upon pickup. Great Covid measures in place and most importantly the food was delicious. We ordered medium hot and it could have been spicier but it all depends on your tolerance. Overall, great find.

I had an interesting experience. The man (the owner Im assuming) laughed at me hysterically when i asked if they had yellow daal. Ive been to numerous indian restaurants in surrey, burnaby and new west and they all offer that dish. He laughed at me like i didnt know what I was talking about. Then he mentioned that being the cheap way of makig daal. I told him that didnt matter i just wanted daal. The daal I receievd was disgusting. Ive eatwn alot of indian food and that had to be the worst. My boyfriend wouldnt even eat it. I find it interesting that they laughed in my face and then produced a worse version of what I actually wanted. Im giving this place 3 stars because the shia paneer was good.

Delicious Indian cuisine. The vegetarian options in particular are delicious, though the meat dishes also have lovely flavor. we started with the delicious vegetable samosas, which were to die for! My wife and I enjoyed the chickpea curry, the Matter Paneer, and the lamb veggie. We'll definitely be back!

Amazingly fresh and authentic Indian cuisine. You really won't find anything better than this when it comes to delicious, home cooked style food. You can taste the passion in the dishes, and the owner and his wife are wonderful people. I've since moved away from Oliver, but I make a point to eat here every time I visit and it's still the best Indian food I've found anywhere.
