Salvation Army Thrift Store

It's finally re-opened after covid 19. It was nice to finally be able to browse their merchandise again and make some small purchases of items we thought we could not live without. We were happy to see the smiling faces of the nice people working there

The Sally Ann is one of my go to Thrift Shops. I find any location of theirs to be clean and tidy. They have raised their prices recently , as Value Village is their biggest competition, but with one huge difference. Value Village is for profit. Salvation Army's profits go into programs, services, food and housing for Homelessness, Drugs, Alcohol and Mental Health individuals in our society. They do excellent work and I always give to them at Christmas time. We need more of these kinds of agencies out there because of the growing need.

The store was well organized and the staff were helpful and friendly

It was a really nice surprise to find that every Saturday is seniors day at the Salvation Army store on Ellis Street. And you qualify if you are 55 and over. ? Fun store to shop through.

Good place to buy furniture and kitchen tools. They have a fortnightly auction of vintage items. Drop in to find out.,
