A 5 stars campground. We love the size; you have privacy for sure. It is a first-come, first-serve, which is good. The washroom is okay; you just need to find a clean one. Interestingly, there is a shower coin, so you need to pay 1 dollar for 3 minutes warm shower. It is located on the playground—a perfect campground for the family with young kids and a lovely beach. The only thing is the gravel road, but yeah it's fine. Overall, great experience!
Awesome playground for the whole family. Sandy beaches, bluffs to jump off, boating, kayaking, swimming, sun tanning… big playground for the kids, lots of outhouses, fresh water, garbage and bottles drop off.
Great place to enjoy.
From some of the reviews, you drive down 10 mins of semi-maintained gravel road. The sites are clean. The beach area is lovely. There is clean water, garbage disposal and recycling. Bathrooms could use a little more upkeep; but they aren't the worst we have seen. We turned up around 530pm and many sites available (mostly I think it's a weeknight and post summer times). It's $25 for a single site. We had the best stay; pup was taunted by many squirrels (which they seem super comfortable with humans and dogs). We noticed the park is infested with many moths, they are everywhere throughout the campground (maybe that time of the season?).
Lovely campground with sandy beaches on Powell Lake. Great for families with small children.
Gorgeous lake for swimming and kayaking and just relaxing. Beautiful clean water and lots to look at like little islands.
