Powell River Airport

Lovely little airport, rising terrain off the east end makes for great practice on illusions with new pilots

I would have given 5 stars but they took out the vending machines at the Airport. Other than that, the staff are friendly and kind and willing to help with anything you need.

Small town airport with friendly and communicative staff. Fast checkin and short waits usually.

There was a power outage while we were there and they proactively let everyone know it was going to happen which was considerate. There are bathrooms and a water cooler. No food but it's not designed for long waits. Don't plan to get a snack while you wait. (Go to Julie's if you need to eat before you fly and want to be near the airport)

The staff at the Powell River Airport are extremely friendly and very helpful. My first flight was cancelled due to the weather. The attendants re booked me to the next flight. That was also cancelled. Without complaint they moved me to the third flight which was able to leave .. a little late. I don't have enough good things to say about the very accommodating staff. Just excellent.

Small, but fully functional and operational
It has everything the city airport would need: regular flights (eg. to Vancouver), car rental agency, taxi services, meteo station, etc.
