Some doctors treat you with such knowledge. Some follow a limited practice which leaves patients not well over all. Areas of the hospital definitely depend on the skills and interests of the provider The Skills of each person providing care to a patient, arrives in the quality of care and expertise of in "their" skills as a healthcare provider. Some doctors follow other doctors like puppies and never stand up for what is the right thing to do for the patient before them. Some practitioners stand strong in their own education and skills and move mountains to provide care. It is shown in the care they provide and the limits they go to ensure the well-being of patients they tend to is top notch.
Some could not care less for a patients well being or perhaps the education is not there.
The lab, mammogram, etc area's are quality. They address things asap.
I hope each person seeking medical care in emergency lands in a quality and skilled doctors hands that step up. As a Healthcare worker I have experienced scary care in emergency room and, I to have landed in quality skilled hands.. thank goodness for the quality of these physicians and nurses.
May the shortcomings of care provider's be corrected. And may the nurses and doctors that stand tall be teachers for the one's that don't.
As a healthcare worker myself, I have seen many area's of need of improvement in some healthcare providers here in town. An oath to do no harm to others I am sure was part of their education.. not sure if all attended that class in their education.
To those whom stand strong within their oath of doing no harm to others. You are leaders.
As a patient, and as a person who was a fellow employee many years ago. I met professional quality providers in my visit to the emergency room and I to have met doctors I am terrified of as the care is neglectful.
A truth on both sides of the scale. Each person's impact has an impact on another. Hopefully the impact is of quality when a healthcare provider is caring for you.
At 56, with a large extended family, I've spent a fair amount of time in hospital ER's. I'm now on day 3 of (?) in Powell River ER waiting for transport to Vancouver for surgery. The ER staff and all their supporting departments staff here are rockstars marathon runners. Always professional and courteous and informative. Whatever they are paid, it's not enough.
On a sour note. Our health care system is chronically under funded. - - The entire ICU floor is closed due to lack of staff.
- The Friday afternoon, ER staff operated with 2 of 7 staff
