We picked up a screw in the rear tire of my motorcycle while on a Sunshine Coast adventure. We were stuck. Two Wheel Tech came through and got us going again. Sebastian fit us in for our emergency.
Thanks to all at Two Wheel Tech.
Knowledgable staff. Very friendly.
I will just make an addition to this review as there have been developments and it doesn't reflect the whole experience.
I was contacted by ownership who informed me that he had been on vacation and wasn't properly aware of the issues around my bike and it's servicing. He was apologetic and expressed disappointment in his staff for not being pro-active and just taking my bike back in immediately to fix the problems. He then had me bring the bike in and made quick work of the outstanding issues. So the story ended well. I've added 2 stars to reflect this.
Original post:
I spent almost $2000 having various, and relatively basic services performed on my motorcycle. New tires, rear brake rotor and pad, valve check, new front turning signals and a general tune up. I suspect they had a new tech do these jobs which is fine, one has to learn somehow. But it would appear that no one checked the work before returning the bike to me as it was returned in an unsafe condition: one of the side covers was missing one of the two connecting bolts, the wiring harness and wiring to the turning signals was left hanging and messy, there was a fuel leak due to a damaged o-ring from careless reconnection of the gas tank and lastly (so far), the gas tank was not even finger tightened back onto the bike. I called the shop a number of times to let them know. My info was kindly received and I was given repeated assurances of a follow up. Unfortunately, there's been no call back or any attempt at accountability, never mind any offers to fix the problems or refund me any money for the time I've had to spend fixing what I could. Needless to say, I don't feel valued or respected despite being a customer of theirs over the years.
Another visit to Two Wheel Tech, and another great experience. They have a good selection of gear and common parts, and get right on ordering in what they don't have. Prices are good, and I'm always treated in a friendly, honest, professional manner. Keep up the good work.
A year after my experience I'd like to reach out and thank the folks at two wheel tech.
I was broken down at the ferry terminal south. The principal came with a trailer and bought my bike and I back to his shop, where we quickly confirmed the problem of a lifeless battery. They had a suitable battery in stock which we subsequently charged. I was then able to make all the ferry connections south at the end of the day.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
My thanks for the rescue, Sean
