By far the most incredible trip I have ever been on. People were friendly, food was awesome, and the island itself was truly a once in lifetime experience. Worth the money 100x over.
I can't say enough good things about our trip to Belize with Island Expeditions. We went on the Maya Reef Explorer tour which was beyond our expectations in every respect. The guides, the accommodations and the meals were all excellent. Want to be the only ones at the Ahtun Ha temple without 1500 cruise ship day trippers or be the only ones snorkelling at the Blue Hole? Go with Island Expeditions!
Our Paradise Islands tour from Island Expedition was amazing! Between friendly guides, delicious food, cool scenery, and beautiful accommodations, I would highly suggest this excursion / company. Not only that… my luggage was lost on our transfer flight in Mexico City. The Dangriga Island Expedition team tracked down my bag (from a super frustrating airline) and even delivered it right to me on Tobacco Caye. The service, tour itself, and whole trip was one for the books.
Just returned from two-week Double Atoll Adventure plus Mayan World extension with Island Expeditions.
It was my first time going on a guided tour ever and it was an exceptional experience. Everything was well organized and orchestrated by this canadian-owned company, yet the very best part of the trip (besides the phenomenal snorkeling) was all the guides and staff who are local Belizeans that not only know their land & Sea well but also generously share their culture and wonderful spirit with you as a guest. The guides & staff make you feel like family rather than just a tourist/visitor.
I lived in Hawaii for 7 years and have snorkeled all the Hawaiian Islands, Tahiti, Samoa, Palau, Guam, and other places around the world and Belize was by far the best snorkeling I've ever experienced, and Island Expeditions gets you to the very best Belize has to offer.
It was fantastically relaxing to have all your food, transportation, lodging, tour guides, activities, and equipment provided. Worth every penny in my estimation and I will definitely be booking this company again for another wonderful experience in Belize.
55 miles off the coast of Belize, in the remarkable blue waters of the Caribbean, are lovely atolls, the Blue Hole, coral reefs, fish of many colors, crabs of many sizes, sea creatures of varying degrees of weirdness - and Red-footed Boobies, nesting beak by feather with Frigate birds -- oh, and the occasional lizard. All but a body length away as you stand on the tower watching. These creatures could not care less. Delicious meals are served from a remarkable - and small - kitchen hut. Yeah, I remain smitten. And the level of attention, knowledge and service from/of/by the Island Expedition denizens is well-worth noting here. And this attention continues after the experience ~ should a creature say chew thru some clothing you bought while in-country (they do warn you. You are, after all, in a nature refuge). Go. You are in good hands
