Visited Pemberton Distillery on August 13, 2021.
A Friday, I was expecting there to be others, but we had the place to ourselves. After being let in by Tyler, my wife and me proceeded to taste almost everything; or maybe it was mostly me. It's been a while since I've had potato-based spirits, so I was pleasantly surprised by the complexity and mouth-feel of the ones we tried. The gin is a standout, with the botanicals present and distinct but not overwhelming. I particularly liked the peated whisky, very rare for BC and even elsewhere in Canada, reminiscent of lighter styles such as those from Speyside or the Lowlands. It was a pleasure chatting with Tyler, but I could see he was a busy man so I lightened my wallet with a few (or more) bottles and headed out. Cheers!
I just loved their organic vodka, especially Hemp Vodka. You can feel the earthiness aftertaste which makes it very special. I liked other liqueurs as well. I purchased the bottle and I cannot wait to make my own Caesar with it at home! They will let you taste free, so you can find the one you really like!! Must visit if you are visiting Pemberton.
Really enjoyed this place, great service and unique selection of products. I purchased the ginger liqueur and absolutely love it with Tonic water.
Great, polite service. They explained a lot about the process and how each batch is made. Prices were good. The drinks each taste unique and authentic.
