The Hitching Post Motel

This little motel is right between Joffre Lakes Provincial park and Whistler. It is cute, well kept, in a quiet are and the staff was always willing to help. We booked the family suite and fit 4 adults comfortably. Beds and pillows were comfortable and room was clean. Wifi, mini fridge, kettle and coffee maker worked well. There is A/C in the main room of the suite unfortunately, there is non in the seperate bedroom. This means on a hot summer night you need to keep the bedroom door open not to overheat. Kinda beats the purpose of a seperate bedroom. You are about 5mins out of Pemberton which makes it easy to pick up something to eat and do something in town.

Booked this hotel for the night before our Joffre Lakes backpacking trip. It's really all we needed -- somewhere to sleep, had AC, small kitchenette for breakfast, and very friendly, accommodating staff. Not rating it 5 stars because yes, the rooms are outdated/needing a little love, and also, the mosquitos in our room were a serious situation... but I'm not totally sure that had anything to do with hotel! All in all, it was a cheap and clean place to stay the night so we could start our hike bright and early and we'd definitely recommend it/return in the future.

Excellent stay! We had yet another wonderful stay at The Hitching Post Motel. This place is run very well by a family. It is clean and well organized. The staff is very friendly. They also accomodated some booking changes on a very short notice. I (we) will be back. Thank you!

Cool place! Really basic but perfect for us. Nice place to make base camp when ski touring. Pemberton is suuuuper cool also. Clean also. Reccomend!
