Quite simply put, I am very awkward and uncomfortable in front of a camera. My fiancée and Darby arranged this as a surprise and although I was excited, I was equally apprehensive. Anyway – she was outstanding in her ability to balance professionalism with playfulness and I honestly just wanted to have a beer with her after. Her work turned out incredible and was neither mushy nor cheesy (which was a fear). To that point, she used the wilderness and the lighting so wonderfully, and was able to make a very uncomfortable situation feel organic for me. We would recommend her to anyone with a set of ears.

Darby is FANTASTIC! She is so lovely and makes even a photo-shy person feel so comfortable. My fiance and I never got engagement pictures done when we first got engaged, however, when our wedding got postponed due to Covid, my fiance surprised me with a session to remember the year and it was the best gift he could have given me. As someone who wasn't keen on doing engagement pictures initially, I would definitely rethink it, it was a wonderful experience. These pictures are very good representation of us - we could not be more thrilled. Darby, your guidance, kindness, location scouting and editing to make it this amazingly warm yet whimsical colour is so perfect. We adore you!! Thank you :)

Darby was a pleasure to work with! I wanted to organize a last minute photo shoot for my family while we were in Whistler, and Darby was so easy to coordinate with. She was quick to respond, open, flexible, and provided great advice based on my family needs. During the shoot, she made it so comfortable and easy, especially for the adults who weren't particularly comfortable in front of the camera. The shoot was incredibly fun and the time flew by. The photos turned out beautifully and she was able to turn around our edited gallery SO quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Darby again the next time I needed a photographer in Whistler!
