First time visited Wild Wood cafe for breakfast. Someone recommended so I had to try it.
Food was very good.
I've rated this a 3/5 on customer service, cleanliness, flavor, presentation, and atmosphere.
First I'll star off with the not so good:
Customer service and cleanliness. We had a very "rough around the edges" type server that seemed to not know where to draw the line with his comments and secondly, unaware how to problem solve. We had a bit of a mix up with our meal, and he stayed "yeah, so I saw that, but I didn't order it like that. It's the kitchens fault" and sauntered off. We felt under appreciated for the business we brought, especially as these were gusts to whistler.
Secondly, I'll address cleanliness. It seemed not to be a priority to keep the establishment clutter free, and clean. I witnessed the waiters spraying tables and wiping them with clothes dropped on the floor, fingers in food as it was being delivered to other tables, and a 60% chance the utensils were not cleaned well.
Now, let's get to the atmosphere.
It had a diner feel. Nothing to fancy or classy. Just a place you'd go to get a quick bite and head out. Nothing that leaves a lasting impression.
Lastly, flavour and creativity.
This is wild wood cafes saving grace. The food was flavourful and plentiful. Presentation was well done, adding slight creativity to each dish.
I worked there for the 04-05 winter and I still think their burger is the best I've had in my life.
