St Hilda's Anglican Church

Beautiful setting, great church hall with kitchen for concert refreshments. Excellent acoustics. I'm not a member of the congregation, but have performed in choral concerts at St. Hilda's.

A friendly progressive church in the heart of Sechelt. This little church has been serving Sechelt for over 80 years. Visitors are first greeted by the colourful meditation labyrinth between the parking lot and the front entrance of the church. Inside the church is a beautiful, recently restored sanctuary, a sacred space where worship, prayers, musical events, community dialogues, and a monthly native drumming circle are celebrated. The clear-glass windows bring the nature into the sanctuary. You feel like you're worshiping right by the trees outside. The church also houses the only pipe organ on the Sunshine Coast and boast some of the best acoustics for concerts. St. Hilda's is the home of many local community groups offering food and medicine for the body, mind, and spirit. A designated safe space for LGBTQ folks, St. Hilda's strives to live up to its vision of being "OPEN DOORS, OPEN MINDS, OPEN HEARTS" to all who come and seek spiritual transformation.

Nice place to sit and contemplate. Did not attend the church itself. Has the very elaborate labrynith painting on grounds.
