My first trip to Malibu was the summer of '75. We rode the bus all the way from San Diego and got almost no sleep...and then the boat ride! Great memories of water skiing over driftwood add firming up my new commitment to Christ. The following summer I returned for 'Beyond Malibu' where we backpacked for a week in the mountains above Malibu. Boy, that was a stretch of muscles as well as faith! Malibu is one of my best memories...killer whales, bioluminescence, the tidal change and (too many) fresh cherries right of the trees!
Amazing, easily one of the most beautiful places in the world. Their goal is to make the week youth spend with them the best week of their life!
I went to this camp in about 1970 ot is so beautiful . The boat trip was fun going up . I remember the saltwater pool blasted out of rock
Went up and down with the tide a bit but it was great . And the team games and camp counselors were all great. A wonderful experance for any teen.
I was at Malibu in the spring of 1982, and 5 stars are nowhere enough. Everything about this place deserves at least a Galaxy of stars.... Truly one of the most beautiful places on on this earth...
I spent a fun week here in 1972 as a 15 year old, it was a life-changing trip for this East Coast raised kid. I think I remember the entire 3-4 week trip cost me ~$300, and I worked my tail off at a cafeteria job to pay for it myself. The scenery and camp were breathtaking. I made a lifelong friend that week also, who just passed away, so I am feeling nostalgic today.
