Beautiful lake, rec site was nice but didn't allow fires due to ban
We were not even guests, we were in need of help, and Jim and Barb were amazing! While waiting for a tow truck, they made us feel relaxed and welcome. Thank you both
This place is truly a gem. Barb and Jim and all the staff are the friendliest hosts.
The cabins and bathrooms are super clean. Cleaner then some 5 star hotels I’ve been too. Since the bathroom/showers are shared, you would expect muddy washrooms while it rains but the floors, the toilets even the damn walls were clean.
I wish we would have stayed longer. Because of the high elevation, weather changes. A few days may be rainy and cold. But when the sun comes out, it’s absolutely beautiful. So be sure to stay enough time to enjoy everything.
There is so much to do here. Even if it’s just disconnecting and being with your loved ones.
My only suggestion is they could use a new mattress.
We rented kayaks.... and subsequently a power boat to take in the beautiful lake today. What a great little local business. Barb and Dorothy were so great to deal with.... both in email, on the phone and in person. We walked through the resort after we had been on the lake and it was full of happy campers. We hope to be able to camp there or rent a cabin as it looked perfect for us!
An amazing little lakeside campground! My boyfriend and I had a phenomenal experience here. The owners - Jim and Barb - were unbelievably friendly and welcoming and even invited us to join them for dinner one night. The lake is gorgeous and crystal clear and has great fishing. Amazing hiking trails all around the lake. Very rustic and cute way out in the woods which means no cell service. It was an amazing experience. We will definitely be coming by again next summer!
