Just drove by, Looks good
We came across this campground during the summer of COVID-19 when there was very little to choose from. What a delightful surprise. The location is lovely, the hosts are friendly, the prices are very reasonable, and we enjoyed trail riding on our second day. Lots of open space, views, huge piece of land for kids to safely run around on. A slow moving river to put your feet in, overall a lovely campsite.
The google location is wrong and despite submitting an edit using gps from the actual site and the owners doing the same, google hasn't verified the correct location. So, please find this lovely horse camp, cabins, and event site approx halfway between Merritt and Logan Lake on the 97c.
This place is beyond fantastic. Come for yourself and see! Owners are so friendly and fun. Hope to be back soon. There are horseback riding tours in the summer and many trails. Camping amenities: nice pit toilets, loonie showers, picnic tables and fire pits. Well water for drinking.
A very different campground experience of the good kind. The host is super friendly, the campsite mostly used by people owning a horse and once you have went down the road into the valley you are rewarded with a beautiful landscape, a river running through it and many different locations to put your RV either close to another group or quite remote. It's a completely dry site, so no electricity or pressurized water, but you get excellent firewood, a fire pit and a picnic table and plenty of friendly co-campers and their horses. It felt even more like an original Canadian country side experience than the national park campgrounds between Banff and Jasper. Highly recommended, if you're not afraid to drive down a hill with your RV (we managed fine with our 30 footer and other people even had larger ones).
Had an amazing time there this weekend. Rented a cabin and it was clean, and quaint. Had a propane stove set up for us, with dishes, and everything we needed to camp for the weekend. The trails were well maintained and tons of places to adventure with your horse. The camp host Clint, was super friendly, and helpful. Made sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying ourselves. Can't wait to go back. Great place even if you don't have horses to camp too. Just a beautiful setting.
