Surrounded by magnificent panoramic mountain views, The Burfield, is Sun Peaks newest multi style accommodation. Offering three different types of short term accommodations, Hotel, Hostel and Residences (coming soon); as well as long term hotel accommodations.
The Burfield features stylish yet contemporary rooms that are perfect for a single traveller, couples, families or groups. All units are sleekly furnished and equipped with stocked kitchenettes or kitchens, free Wi-Fi, smart TV’s, and at least one three piece bathroom (walk-in shower) dependent on unit booked. Our rooming options range from a queen/twin hotel room with kitchenette to an apartment style two bedroom/ two bathroom mountain view suite with patio.
Great place to stay. Away from the main "village" so it's a lot quieter. Saw some deer one evening. We were upgraded to the larger 1 bedroom one unit. Very spacious and clean.
Unfortunately no a/c, but it's cool with the windows open and I don't see that being a problem in the winter! Underground parkade is a bit tight but I suspect there will be surface parking once the 2nd apartment building it completed.
In the winter it's literally across the street from one of Sun Peak's chairlifts.
Our Family of 4 stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment pod in August 2020 for 3 nights.
The price was fantastic for the style of room and amenities. It was a home away from home. The manager, Mandy, is amazing. She went over and above to help us with anything and everything.
It is unfortunate that the unit was so close to the busy mountain access road and that construction of the new building is in progress. Crews worked from 7am to about 4pm.
I also didn't realize that the Village is a 2.5 KM drive away. I think the Ski in ski out access is ideal with the lifts across the road, but walking to the village in summer is a bit of a LONG walk, so we had to drive.
We enjoyed a late afternoon paddle board at Heffley Lake. As well as Downhill mnt biking at sunpeaks. This was a very safe and enjoyable Covid vacation. We cooked our meals in and the kitchen is well stocked.
Stayed in the Burfield for a month and had a great stay. Clean and modern suites with everything you need.
Mandy who runs the hotel was super friendly and helpful. Lots of measures for coronavirus were in place and we felt really safe.
The only reason I haven't put a five is the location isn't the best, a good 30 minute walk to the village and the room was super hot with the window not being able to open all the way. These things wouldn't be a problem in Winter. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone!
*3bed microsuite. Stayed with 4 guests.
Super friendly service, well kept and tidy. Central location. Quite modern! Soundproofing is quite good.
Beds are quite comfortable. And despite no AC it was definitely cool enough (mid July visit).
