Amazingly great vets and great staff at this location. Super thrilled to have had them from the beginning of our pet venture . Quality service with tonnes of information being given out and no rushing.
They have the best hours and all the equipment and technology to diagnose your pet. Just be careful, they always go for the most expensive treatment options and like to do all the tests imaginable. If you are on a budget, let them know what you can afford and they will then work with you. Dr. Guinn and Dr. Litchfield are excellent vets to work with. Knowledgeable and compassionate
I am new to Winnipeg and Southglen was recommended to me when I found two ticks on my pup. They were so kind and understanding on the phone and promptly got my dog in for an assessment. They were gentle and timely and had great suggestions and education for me as we don’t have ticks in the lower mainland of BC where I’m from. There was no veterinary care provided and we planned a follow up Lyme disease test in 6 weeks. Our visit was free of charge and my anxiety was eased, I will gladly see them with our future needs.
My dog Blue got sick late in the day I called my regular Vet, they were fully booked and recommend Southglen. They we're able to see him that day.The level of care and compassion shown by all the staff made the visit far less stressful for me and Blue. They were able to offer some sensible and affordable treatment options. Blue is doing much better turns out he has Arthritis in his left back leg. We will definitely be going back for follow up visits. As well as regular check ups.
Staff is friendly. They will provide help immediately up to 10pm which is wonderful. They push unnecessary tests and med on dogs of advanced age. Where palliative care is all that's required. They did overdose my Greyhound on sedative because of their lack of experience with the breed.
