Nice hidden gem behind the University of Manitoba. So many great features to the park. You have to definitely go during the Autumn season! Also great for birding, nature trails beside the river, beautiful labyrinth garden, duck ponds, little Pagoda, rock waterfall, vined pergolas and so much more!
A peaceful place for a walk, with or without your four-legged friend!
Whenever I want to forget everything and relax, I go to this place alone. I walk slowly taking pictures everywhere. Nice atmosphere, less crowded, full of flowers and trees. I love to spend time on the river bank by looking at the river. For me this is the best park around this area
Fountain was operating again this year, lovely place to visit. Very nice park and off leash dog park area.
We love this park. It's meticulously kept with stunning flowers. Miles (?) of trails, photo ops galore and constant improvements. We've lived in the area 3 years and they have redone the park nearly top to bottom it seems with new bridges, tons of new benches and a stunning new waterfall feature. Amazing off-leash dog park, endless trails, many open areas for sports, including a baseball diamond and soccer goal posts, bridges over large ponds. And it has bathrooms. I wish it had bathrooms more central in the park. They are near the entrance and a VERY long jaunt if you are at the wrong end.
At the far far end there are several (what seem like) purpose-built photo spots. Though they are nice, most are quite run down. Maybe they're next on the reno list. But so much natural beauty and other spots for photos.
I've often wished they had a playground but I suspect there is a reason they haven't built one. Nonetheless, my young children love walking around this park.
