(February 24, 2019, 6:38 pm)Having just returned from a trip to New Orleans, Louisiana...I had to finally try Popeyes Louisiana fried chicken! I ordered a 2 piece mild chicken dinner with onion rings as my choice of side. The chicken was piping hot, moist, juicy and very tasty. Flavourful and crispy coating. Popeyes fried chicken beats out KFC and Mary Browns fried chicken hands down!
They had many sides to choose from. I did not care for the onion rings at all. They had a very different almost dry coating on them. I will try a different side the next time.
The drink fountain/condiment area was very cramped. While I was there it was extremely busy and not enough seating for everyone.
This is their first establishment in Winnipeg so hopefully when future ones open, they will make the restaurant more spacious.
When I need my fried chicken fix, I will deffinately go to Popeyes ????
(February 24, 2019, 4:19 pm)Breading like no other chicken. The spicy ghost pepper wings were not just sauced and sloppy. The heat was all in the breading. No sauce, all amazing. Friendly fast service with a smile. We were encouraged to fill out the survey for free chicken. Yes I will!
(February 8, 2019, 8:10 pm)Their fries could possibly be the best in the city, if you know a better place. Let me know! But the chicken had the best breading I have ever had, you wont get that Louisiana style anywhere in the city. 5/5 would go again. And price I'd say 2/5. The price is good when you compare it to other places, but it might be much for others.

(January 27, 2019, 9:28 pm)I had the spicy chicken with fries and corn on the cob. The chicken tasted very good and cooked just right, tender and juicy. The fries and corn were also good. I tried my husband's mashed potatoes and they were delicious, I'm having that next time. I think the portions and prices are very reasonable compared to other chicken franchises.
