Nice park and great place to fish for Canada's top Channel Catfish Fishing. There is plenty of parking if and lots of room to fish from the shoreline of the Red River.
Wonderful time spent watching pelicans on the water, fishermen in boats and casting from shore. Natural rocky shoreline with driftwood. Beautiful and well groomed park with picnic tables and shade trees. A worthwhile visit!
Actually didn't visit the park was fishing on the river. Partner needed to use the washroom so I parked there. She said it was nice.
Great place to fish. Some rocks but lockport is a great place to visit in summer. When younger I used to put fishing line on a stick and fish right by the edge. Every 15 seconds i would bring up a baby catfish. They used to be popular around the edges. I'm not to sure about now, but i think the food was probably growing by the edge.
