Quarry Park is a pretty park in Stonewall with plenty to offer.
There is a great trail through the forest with nice views of the quarry along the way and is a good place to go for a walk or jog. A small lake is in the centre of the park which the pathway encircles as well.
There is a man-made beach called Kinsmen Lake which is a popular spot in the summer. There is also a campground.
An new and modern Interpretive Centre can also be found at the park with a banquet hall for events and weddings and a small museum.
Quarry Park is a great place to visit when in Stonewall.
Very neat stop, if you like quarries.... Actually pretty cool
Stayed at this lovely park for a few months this 2018summer. Is surrounded by 5baseball fields. Camping lots are a little cramped together with nothing separating one lot from the next. Has a really nice manmade lagoon but there is an entrance fee.
The Quarry Days were amazing. Great music, people, rides and games. Don't forget all the amazing food !!! Amazing 3 days of fun for all ages!
What a nice little hidden gem. 20 minutes from unicity area (to help with idea of distance).
There is a cost to get in. $6 for kids under 12, and $7 for anyone older. Cash or debit.
Fairly clear water, and all sandy beach. There is a food station there, cash only though. Didn't eat so I don't know how the food was.
It's a perfect circle of a beach and kid friendly. Lots of room to park an entire family down and just relax minutes away from the city.
No floatation devices allowed except for children (aka babies).
I only did the beach, I don't know how the rest of the area is. Also, there is a timmies near by for before or after.
Cell phone signal wasn't too bad either.
