Attended the Emotion Festival of Music and Arts here on August long weekend. Beautiful venue with a beach oasis and gorgeous forest camping on a vast property, managed by a team of serious go-get-em people who run the place with gusto.

We had one of Manitoba’s worst rain-and-lightning storms in its history that Friday night, with nearly 100mm of rain in two hours, and it threatened to derail the festival. But by noon the next day, the staff and their fleet of heavy equipment had dealt with every last bit of standing water on the immense property and the event went on completely unimpeded as though nothing ever happened. Check em out!
