I've been servicing my vehicle for years. They are very honest and accommodating! They bend over backwards for their clients! They explain things very nicely and to where I can understand. They always have asked permission before proceeding with any repair. They have squeezed me in, in emergency situations. I will keep going to them!
Gotta wonder how so many people can love this place and then a few go on a "scam" rage. Also weird how more than one negative review has the same writing style and grammar mistakes. Anyhow...
I've been using East End Service/OK TIre for around 15 years or more. I definitely don't keep going back because I like being scammed. Every time I go for service work I get a clear explanation of what's wrong (unless I've previously given them the go ahead and do what needs to be done) and a description of what needs to be done, and the cost.
In emergency or time-sensitive situations they've almost always been able to accommodate me -- and definitely salvaged a vacation road trip one time with a super quick turnaround.
As far as I know, whenever there is more than one cost option, I've been informed (for example, choosing less expensive or more expensive brake parts).
Even though most people are in a bad mood when they need to see a mechanic, the East End/OK Tire crew has always been polite and friendly with me.
That being said, today's vehicles are a nightmare of interconnected parts and sensors and sometimes one symptom can be caused by far more than one part. If you have a complaint about a replaced part not fixing a problem, your issue is probably with the car manufacturer, not the mechanic.
It's also not uncommon to find additional problems while fixing another. Vehicles and their parts wear out. Unless you're under the hood and under the vehicle doing your own inspections once a month, it should come as no surprise when "deferred maintenance" starts piling up into multiple repairs.
When East End/OK Tire has informed me about additional problems, there's never been an issue with me saying I'd take care of it at a later date (unless it's something dangerous of course).
I've had them make strong recommendations, but they've never used high pressure tactics. The funny thing is, if they didn't point out additional problems, people would start complaining about NOT being told when something breaks later.
In the end, the best "review" is probably the fact that I am still going there and see no reason why I would ever stop going.
I used to go here and then I stopped going here and got tired of how long I had to sit and wait for my car so I started going somewhere else....well somewhere else was worse so I'd go back here for sure cause better the devil you know right! There service people are always friendly and they always fix my car with no issue so that's a plus guess good service just takes longer ????
