The Bunkhouse

We spent 2 weeks at this B and B while visiting relatives in Manitoba. We enjoyed every aspect of the accommodation.

The hosts were very friendly and helped when we could not figure out the satellite TV operation. They were working on the last room of the facility but we never heard or saw them - they always waited until we were gone for the day. Charlene and her husband also helped us with local service queries.

The breakfast was a 'cook your own' with eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, toast, and muffins with juice and coffee. If we went hungry (we never did) it would be your own fault. The rooms had individual A/C units, a mini fridge and satellite television.

There was ample well lit parking in a very quiet setting. Swan Lake Manitoba is quiet after 6 o'clock. The town has most amenities - 2 grocery stores, liquor vendor, car wash, hardware stores and the ubiquitous co-op.

The view on google maps is a bit deceiving - it was from a few years ago when the building was the United Church. The current facility if completely redone with modern upgrades and all of the conveniences of home.

I look forward to a return visit.
