The Farmer's Daughter

If you’re travelling along No 5 in central Manitoba stop in at Farmers Daughter//The Barn. Awesome Saskatoon Berry pie. (Tempting looking apple pie too). Good looking selection of hot entrees including pizza.

I was on limited time running late and I called up the restaurant asking if I could do a take out order before a meeting. I was informed they closed in 5 minutes but they insisted I order anyway and she would make it after hours for me as I wasn't going to be there till 20 minutes after close. This is the kind of service that brings customers back and is greatly appreciated. That was the best burger I've had at a restaurant in a very long time. Thank you Farmers Daughter for your act of kindness and the wonderful meal.

We had fish and chips, and burger and fries. Presentation was amazing, great portion size and food tasted amazing! Home made bun for burger was a nice touch! Definitely will be back!

Enjoyed homemade apple pie, exceptional fish & chips and the cinnamon buns are nice and soft. (many restaurants and bakeries have a firmer cinnamon bun, but these were tender and could even be eaten without something to drink!) There seems to be a daily 'special' along with regular menu items of pizza, burgers, chicken fingers... I'm thinking those are homemade too, but we didn't try anything else yet...
