I wrote the following letter to Hammerdown in 2017 regarding renovations they completed to our kitchen, living room and dining room. In January 2022 we contracted Hammerdown to design and remodel our ensuite bathroom, the mudroom and to replace some of the upstairs flooring. Although some of the Hammerdown names have changed, we have had the same wonderful experience with Hammerdown this time around - everybody has been fantastic. Jade, Dean, Adrian and Cody have been responsive, professional and dedicated to providing us with excellent service. We have been just as delighted with the design and remodelling in 2022 as we were in 2017. We would highly recommend Hammerdown and would use them again without hesitation for any home renovations.

Dear Tyson,

We wanted to say thank you! Thank you for building us a kitchen which exceeds our wildest dreams. From day one, it’s been wonderful working with you and your team to renovate our kitchen and update our living room and dining room. Even though our home is not very old, we were never truly satisfied and happy with our kitchen. We finally took the plunge and are we ever happy that we put our trust in Hammerdown.

Your input, ideas and suggestions during the quote and initial planning phase were terrific. Changing the entire layout of the kitchen was a big challenge and you could not have done a better job. Jen and Jeremy added their expertise to come up with our dream kitchen. Jen is worth Jeremy’s weight in gold – she gave us a tremendous amount of confidence when we were faced with the daunting task of picking out colors, flooring, cupboards, hardware, sink, faucet, backsplash and countertop. We cannot speak highly enough of her product knowledge, artistic eye, industry experience and overall design ability. She was a pleasure to deal with and made the process much less intimidating. Thanks to her design input, we have a magnificent looking kitchen.

Jeremy, Paul and Dean did an exceptional job dismantling the old kitchen and constructing the new one. We appreciated Jeremy’s attention to detail and unwavering commitment to workmanship of the highest quality. The challenge of installing a tin ceiling and corresponding crown molding trim speak specifically to your team’s commitment to quality – others may have opted to accept the tiniest of “bubbles” in the initial attempt at wallpapering a tin look onto the ceiling, but Jen found inexpensive actual tin squares and weathered them herself, and Dean installed them perfectly. Dean, not being happy with the crown molding supplied by a local company, refused to install a product which was not up to Hammerdown’s standards. You made sure that only products of a high quality were used during the construction of our kitchen and this meant the world to us. By not settling for second rate, your team made us a tin ceiling which looks incredible and sets off the kitchen.

Jeremy’s thoughts and input during the planning process to keep our ideas doable and within the realm of “construction reality” were invaluable. Your team took the time to clean up the work area at the end of the day made the experience much more tolerable for us. We know you had our best interests in mind and we felt a tremendous amount of trust in you during the entire process. You kept us informed and up to date throughout the entire process and we’re certain this contributed to a lower stress level for us.

The renovation of our kitchen was a wonderful experience and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much for a tremendous job all around by all members of your team.

Tyson and his team pay attention to every detail. The results were amazing.

The entire team at Hammerdown, from the owners (Tyson & Kim) to its entire onsite team work together in a seamless way to make home renovations as easy as is possible for the homeowners. They paid attention to even the smallest details, were responsive to any concerns we had, and were competitively priced. They provided good value and peace of mind to us during all phases of our major bathroom(s) and kitchen/entire main floor renovation projects. We never worried about anything as the project was well managed by the owner and his foreman. We did get quotes from others, but Hammerdown was easily our 1st choice (not based on price alone, but excellent quality of work others informed us about before we first hired Hammerdown). RG
