Assiniboia Downs

Great establishment, good entertainment. Haven't tried the restaurant but the concession stand is good food.

Mother's Day Brunch was very well done. The food was excellent.

I've been to the Assiniboia Downs a few times with family and friends. It's ok. The main building looks like it's showing its age. It was probably more in its prime some decades ago. They have various types of alcohol for purchase. I've bought their food/snacks on the main floor and it was average. I ate here once for a private event and the food was actually pretty good so it might have been prepared by the kitchen on the upper levels. They have a VLT area upstairs and indoor eating area to watch the races. We went once to the farmer's market right next to this place one weekend and we were fairly disappointed, as it paled in comparison to the one in St. Norbert with very limited fresh fruit and vegetable selection.

The event was a market. It was very organized. Checked vaccination card. Space between shops was adequate. Good selection of vendor options. Nice to have local offerings around Christmas time.
