Called to get a quote for a staking certificate and Wilson mentioned I should go with another company that would be a faster and cheaper due to my location. They don't mess around when it comes to making you happy, client or not.
Called to get an idea of what a survey would cost, and was able to speak with Wilson (the website indicates this is the company president). He seemed very knowledgable, and was able to give me some good information in a short phone call. If I do end up getting a survey done, I believe I would go with this company.
My husband and I were very happy with the service we received at Phillips & Stevens, and highly recommend this company to others. It was a great start to our new home build. They listened to our vision and provided us with multiple options for the layout on our property. I was impressed that they not only delivered the vision, they even suggested a subdivision option as an income investment into retirement, something we had never even thought of. The rates were similar and better than other places, communication was clear and prompt, the work was completed quickly and accurately, and the customer care was fantastic.
UPDATE:
Philip himself called me after noticing the review I left online. He said it wasn't right they told me $600 then charged me more later on. I couldn't agree more, it wasn't right. I only feel it's fair to update my review to reflect my opinion on the matter. I still feel a little annoyed that I was told that amount, had called to try to get a refund, and was denied. I don't like how I had to resort to leaving a negative review to get my refund. That being said, I'm happy that I got charged the amount I was originally told. He didn't ask me to change my review like some others have in the past, he simply seemed concerned that I was told $600 then charged $700. My review stays at 3 stars due to being told "it will be done when it's done", and that I had to resort to leaving a negative review to get my money back.
Original Review:
Very poor experience overall. I called and asked for when they could come out, they told me "sometime next week". A week had gone by with absolutely no call or them coming out. I phoned them and they said something along the lines of yeah, we're busy, we'll get to you when we get to you. At this point I should have gone with a different company. At no time did they explain to me how their fee's work, they simply told me that it would be around $600. This lined up with others who were charged $550-$600 so I figured that was fine. When I looked at my credit card bill, I noticed that I was charged $735, what the heck? I called them to follow up, and was told that "this was explained to you when you called initially". No, it wasn't explained to me at all. Save your time and money, go elsewhere.
