This place isn't just for seniors. If you're even remotely interested in ham radio, stop in and they'd be glad to show you the ropes!

It's an Amateur Radio (aka Ham Radio) for Senior Citizens. Don't let that put you off; if you are interested in Ham Radio you can drop by and someone will be happy to answer your questions and you may even be able to use a radio. They have some very odd hours, not open at night or on weekends, so phone ahead. Ironically for a club for Senior Citizens it is located at the top of a steep set of stairs (no wheelchair access) in the old St. Vital Fire Hall.
They also have a little museum which is really just a room full of old electronics, interesting if you are in to that sort of thing or just want to bore a teenager to death as punishment.

a great place for senior citizens to hang out and learn or operate amateur radio. have 2 fully operational stations, VHF &UHF stations, digital stations, and wireless access.
