(December 27, 2016, 6:18 pm)Armack Construction is a one-person firm, supplemented when needed, that we used to 1) remodel two bathrooms, 2) fix big cracks in our hallway walls and ceiling, 3) install a cedar closet, and 4) build, from scratch, a large cedar gazebo. We have nothing but praise for Herschel, who in an era when contractors commonly start a renovation and then disappear, showed up every morning at 8 and went right to work, day after day, M-F, until the job was done. He is an expert carpenter and more, and is very good at visualizing solutions to problems encountered in an older house where a totally square corner is quite rare. He works steadily through the day, cleans up the site about 3 PM, and leaves to buy supplies for the next day. His rates are reasonable. He is such a "find" that I go around the house now looking for jobs for him to do.
