I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight, If I didn't post a review about the Harrison Township fire department! Before I was gonna go to bed on June 5th at approximately 12:25am. I heard on the scanner I believe what might have been an alarm went off at a resident, either a gas leak or carbon monoxide call on Townhall Street, "That's my street I said to myself," And before I could head down to investigate at my neighbors house, 3 fire engines from both depts. Were there and also one fire and rescue unit and a first responder pick up truck, As well as the Macomb County Sheriff's Dept. Who also blocked off traffic on Townhall! While a dozen fire fighters were found scurrying around and doing their routine thing, All this happening in a matter of minutes, But that wasn't the thing that impressed me the most though, It was after the all clear call came thru the radio, And the homeowners and everybody were safe thank God, The fire fighters came out from checking the house and underneath the house, While it was raining, And that was when I saw fellow grown male fire fighters hug each other when they came out, And I believe what might have been a Sargeant or Captain in a red helmet whom I witnessed gather his crew of fire fighters together and shake their hands, It made a grown man like myself choke up a little from pride viewing this! I don't know any of our hard working firefighters, or how both departments might feel about each other, But from that certain call, I saw comradery and team work, And it just makes me feel even more proud to be a Harrison Township resident, And to be able to sleep sound at night knowing that the Townships fire Dept. Is on the job! The purpose for this whole long review too, Was to let the fire Chief's of Harrison Township also be made aware of the exemplary fire fighters that they have working for their Dept. Thank you ALL for your service in protecting our Township residents! May God bless you and protect you ALL! Respectfully submitted, From: A proud resident at 38370 Townhall - Jason Bright
P.S. If you didn't notice, I was the one that was standing in the rain in front of my driveway, giving the sheriff deputies, And each fire truck the thumbs up sign ???? until the last rescue vehicle passed! ????
These guys rock
Great people. Went there for the holiday open house, they really put their hearts into it. Great way to reach out and get to know the community. And they were cleaning all the kids messes without a cringe and with smile on their faces.
