Great experience
The Selfridge Military Air Museum which is supported by the Michigan Air Guard Historical Association is a true hidden aviation "gem" in SE Michigan. Reflecting Selfridge's proud 100 year history, the Museum has on display many of the aircraft types from all branches of the military which have flown from Selfridge which include a full-scale WWI "Spad" replica, a Cold War Navy sub chaser, the P-3 Orion" and the mighty C-130 "Hercules" transport both of which are open for tours, the F-16 "Viper" and A-10 "Warthog" which are flying in America's defense today. Many artifacts from that same period are carefully displayed in the Museum's main building. Maintained by a 100% volunteer staff, the Selfridge Military Air Museum should be a "must see" on your SE Michigan "road trip" itinerary
