I just had a wonderful conversation with the technician he gave me great advice very kind. Looking forward to working with him in the future.
After reading all the negative reviews, I too was very apprehensive to have service on my Samsung dryer with an extended warranty through Lowes. I couldn't have been so wrong because the service was great. I can't speak for all the technicians, although I would hope they have the same demeanor as the fellow that serviced my dryer, like Rich. My dryer was making a lot of a rattling noise and of course it didn't do it when he came to look at it, but he suggested that I could record the sound when it does happen and then it would help to diagnose the problem. After a week it started doing it again and I did what Rich suggested and immediately called for service again and requested to have Rich as the technician. Lowes and Carl's had no problem with this request and the next day after the request he came to check out the dryer. Again, as usual, no sound of rattling, but because I recorded the noise he was able to diagnose the problem and ordered the part. In the mean time I could still use the dryer even though it started making more noise. In one week total ordering the part and setting up the service call Rich came out and made the repair. Yes, I'm sure there are horror stories to be told with different experiences, but I think with a little patience and reasonable expectations problems can be solved. I don't think a repair business like Carl's really wants to give bad service purposely because after all they have families to support and it only makes sense to try to keep a good name for themselves. Some times it's not them, but the manufacturer or the supplier that causes the delays and as a result the repair service gets the blame. Well, as for my experience, this was only a slight inconvenience which in today's world means really nothing.
