Having five children, all of whom play an instrument, I've been through my share of music lessons, renting/buying instruments, etc. Southern Thumb is by far the most reasonably priced, friendly and knowledgeable place I've experienced. They don't try to sell you something that you don't need or try to up sale you on an item but rather try to offer you the best deal that they can. The guitar instructor teaching my 8 yr old son is also extremely helpful, patient and encouraging. I recommend them 100% for any music needs you might have. It is very nice to see a place that actually puts their customers above their profits.
I took drum lessons here when I was a teenager. I've come back recently for bass lessons and I'm once again 100% satisfied. I was even able to purchase a drumset here as a kid on a payment plan which was nice. They gave me it piece by piece first a snare and so on. Cool merch that's affordable too. New and used gear. I personally love having a ???? music store so close to home. They do repairs I've never used them for that service but I would if I needed too. Even a jam room for students and others to start a band and practice. Cool place. 2 thumbs up.
I took my son for his first piano lesson cost $20 and he enjoyed it a lot.
Our teacher was great with my 5 year old and played the piano wonderful.
We learned twinkle twinkle little star because they were out of beginner books to play from and that was OK but wish he would have gotten to see more beginner music in a book.
Definitely thinking we will be back in the future for more piano lessons because my son really enjoyed himself
Very personable. Highly talented. Won't sell you what you don't need. Very obvious that they want to see you happy with your musical venture.
Great local music shop! They have everything from drums and guitars, to keyboards and other instruments. If you're just starting out or want to get a better feel for playing, they offer private lessons and recitals for students to play at. Everyone is also very friendly and will help you find what you're looking for!
