Algonac State Park

they done a very good job in preserving the oak openings that persist in Algonac state park, but there is still plenty of nasty buck thorn that still grows along the trails, but there lake plain oak openings, oak savanna, and lake plain prairie are in wonderful shape and was very exciting for me to experience, hopefully i can go down there myself and clear out the nasty invasive species.

Great park and some nice trails. They also have camping, bow range, skeet range and pistol range

Have not camped there in a long time but I love the trails for hiking and crosscountry skiing. I also have used the bow and arrow range, the skeet range, and the pistol range. Nice State Park.

Love coming here and spending time with my family. Never have had a bad experience coming here in the 10 years I have been. All the employees are super friendly and nice. The whole park is very clean and very well maintained all year round. This is an amazing place to come on a vacation or even just to get a little get away for a day or so. Love this place so much!!! We come here for 4th of July along with Halloween decorating. My whole family and I enjoy it.

Love Algonac! Love camping! Great campground! Friendly staff that also take pretty good care of the bathrooms. If you like the woods, the wagon wheel is perfect. Your other choice is wide open with a great view of the water!
