Elgin Senior Centre / Maple Tree Café

This is a cool little place where locals gather for coffee and tall tales.

A homemade burger with homemade bread and great homemade potato salad. Good coffee too. Simple place but Shirley does a great job. Interesting locals in a cool little village. Great stop for lunch while out for a scenic drive.

The Maple Tree Cafe has take over from the Elgin Country Market as the coffee and meeting place, the news center, the local social club of the metropolis of Elgin.

Shirley makes good bacon and eggs all day. Today had fresh biscuits with REAL AND TOP QUALITY maple syrup, while I waited for eggs benedict.

Conversation is always good, locals are always entertaining one way or the other. There might even be a challenge match at cribbage.

On mondays? The cafe is a senior citizens center again. Other days of the week? It's the Maple Tree Cafe.

Awesome place. We just happened upon this place by accident one day. We passed by then went back to check it out. Am I ever glad we did. We had an awesome time. The food was fresh, hot, tasty, and all homemade. The girl that works there was great. Too bad I can only give it a five star rating. It deserves more that that. You gotta try this place!!!!!!!!!!
