Beautiful and inspiring scenery!
The suspension bridge is not too high(good for those who has fear of height issues)
Amazing place to spend a day.
We didn't really know anything about the Fundy Trail Parkway until we spent a night in Saint Martins. We were going to go up to P.E.I and Nova Scotia, but hurrican Fiona blew through the night before and we couldn't get any farther north on this trip. We visited in late September on a foggy and rainy day and had the Parkway almost to ourselves. We probably saw about 10 other cars during our couple of hours driving and hiking trails--the next day we visited Acadia National Park and every turn out was packed with people. We didn't get as much hiking as we had hoped due to the driving rain, but even with the rain this is a special place. I understand that this area has heavy fog a lot, but I found it almost magical. I think we pulled out at every lookout and were never dissapointed.
Absolutely beautiful, the highlight of our trip to the area! We had been in Acadia the day prior and the contrast of being somewhere so peaceful and quiet (Acadia was PACKED) really made this place even more special. The gorge is breathtaking.
What a beautiful way to explore the Fundy coastline. Gorgeous lookouts, beaches and trails. As much or as little as you want to do. We pre-ordered a lumberjack picnic (highly recommend!!!). It's a bit hard to find on the website and you need to book 48 hours in advance, Go to Facilities, click Cookhouse and click "Booking" and a menu will drop down with food options. One lunch was enough for 2 people! The sandwiches were huge and came packed with snacks and a mason jar of lemonade and another full of ice to keep the sandwich cold. We picked it up and found a beach and dug in.
We did the trail to the Walton Glen Gorge. I had flip flops on...ouf! What was I thinking? But all was well and we enjoyed amazing views and trails. I look forward to returning and spending more time on the beach.
Incredible. One of Canada’s best kept secrets.
We started at the west gate, got out at the Interpretive Centre, walked across the suspension bridge, and stopped at a couple lookouts.
We loved our time here and we’ll plan for a longer hike next time.
