Stay there in dome #2 with my wife.... awesome time and quiet.... great getaway ... love the wood burning hot tub
The log cabin was beautiful and the wood burning hot tub was great would go back anytime
We had high expectations because of all the great reviews and were not disappointed at all, it was even better than expected! we will be back for sure
Ridgeback Lodge is beyond expectations. We stayed in the Robin's Nest cabin and felt at home as soon as walking through the door. Rustic charm, cozy and CLEAN!! Not one spec of dust! The kitchen/living area is open concept and tastefully situated. Beautiful furniture and so very comfortable. Wood stove that we did not get to use as we were there in July but the A/C came in handy!! No television but there are cards, crib board, puzzles, games and books provided to fill the time. The bedroom is cozy with a king size bed made with beautiful linens and a very generous bathroom with a nice walk in shower!! Chairs on the porch to enjoy your coffee/beer while getting in touch with nature. The wood heated hot tub is a great touch to relax in the evening.
My favorite spot on the property is the pond. Small beach to relax and get some sun while watching the resident ducks and listening on the many frogs that Iive in the pond. There's a canoe available as well as a few kayaks; you can also swim to the raft or just swim around the pond. Large size connect 4 game as well as Jenga and horseshoes to keep you busy. There is also a walking trail and if you're an avid hiker, there is a trail that is not maintained...make sure you have your hiking boots!!
We have already booked our summer vacation week for 2022 and we will be booking again in the fall or winter for a couple of nights....our new getaway spot. We just LOVE it.
It is adults only and no pets allowed but wow, what a vacation!!
Tranquility, relaxation and nature. The question is what do you want in a mini vacation? A place that you leave the everyday roller coaster ride behind you? A place where your only worries are what to bring for meals and beverages, what books to read, when to doze off , when you should go outside and light your own wood fired hot tub, should I use the tub morning noon or night...or all of the above, when you should go for a walk on one of the trails or choose to let the mind go...
The hosts, besides being over the top obliging, have thought of everything you would ever need in your own dome. My only recommendation is keep it the way it is !
