Interesting little museum with very friendly and helpful staff. Entry is by donation and they are happy to provide guided tours. It is a small museum but some unique items including the front of a ship.

Helpful in giving information regarding ancestry. Museum has lots of information about shil building and the people of the town who were the ship builders

Odd, I thought my previous rating was still there. Anyways, I went in the summer of 2017 and this museum is a highly pleasant surprise. Very good staff, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Good exhibits that enhance the aim to help you understand the glory days of the region during the ship building boom years. Worth a visit.

I love the people and the displays so much!! If you're interested in shipbuilding i definitely recommend this place!!!
