Marshlands Inn

The innkeeper Barry was a great fellow. He looks after all the entire inn including preparing the food at the restaurant. Our meal was top knotch it included seafood crepes and delicious cheesecake for dessert. Barry was super sweet and served me a big pot of tea this morning while I watched tv in the common room. The eggs benny was the best I’ve ever had. The inn was certainly a step back in time but both the inn and restaurant are worth the visit. The grounds and large veranda are great for relaxing. So close to all amenities including bars and thrift shops! The pillows were a bit uncomfortable but the bed was amazing. The claw foot bath was great for a soak. Would definitely visit again!!

Always delightful food and personal attention

Absolutely charming, unique rooms in a beautiful 1850s dwelling. Decor is delightful, dining is impressive with a lovely herb and vegetable garden on site. They've managed to update quite a few things without ruining the character of the rooms.

It is a lovely "antiques"place. Our having to change tables because there was another table "already set up" in another section, to see the "manager" bring tables together to accommodate us all, 8 total, and to see this same "manager" take down these tables. I thought this was totally stupid to see. I would have thought that the "manager" would have more sense.
