Great spot to rent a kayak.
We were 5 people and rented kayaks online ahead of time (recommended). Great service. Employees are friendly.
We went up the subbenacadie river and it was awesome. Calm spot in the morning and relaxing to go for a couple hours.
Would definitely recommend the closed kayaks. The current is a bit rough for the open ones and they don't really warn you about it.
Definately will come back.

Just want to say that you have a great crew that was working yesterday when we were out yesterday afternoon. My 8 yr old fell off his paddleboard and got his feet stuck in the mud, we ended up losing his shoe and he had a complete meltdown and freak out on the water. I called the shop and asked them to send someone out to bring him back. He calmed down after that while I stayed in my kayak to hopefully locate the shoe (I didn't in the thick seaweed). The guy was really good to him and got him back in no time to meet up with the rest of the crowd.
Then when I returned exhausted and stressed out (I had a hard time after getting stuck a few times) they gave me a couple of coupons to come back. They were really great and none of it was their fault, but wanted to give me another chance to make a more enjoyable experience. Hats off to them!!
It was my daughters 15th birthday and the 4 girls had a great time on their paddleboards...we will be back when the tides are higher..haha
The only recommendation I would make it wo warn people to stick to the left if it;s low tide. Mud is very quick to sink.
Great experience and had fun. Unfortunately the guy with long hair that shows customers how to paddle and kayak was rude in front of customers. The water currents were strong on the way back, and it was almost impossible to paddle back to the shore. A guy that was on his boat helped us return by holding a rope. The guy wanted to tell the worker that they shouldn't send customers that far out when the currents are strong. The worker got very angry and was swearing in front of a bunch of customers.
Great service and very polite staff. Safe and well organized. Affordable too!
Great little rental shop with lots to choose from. Fair prices, great staff...
